Leadership 21 2021
Applications for the Class of 2021 are now being accepted!
The 19th class of Leadership 21 will begin in September and run through May 2021; graduation is in September 2021. The 9 month, full-day sessions allow participants to explore issues such as education, history, government, criminal justice, communications and economic development, just to name a few. An entire day is spent on each topic and includes visits to key locations such as the county jail, local police department, schools, food pantries, hospitals and other businesses to give a clear picture of the community in which they live and do business. As in past years, each class is required to design and implement a community project; from June - September, Leadership participants will complete the project.
At the September 2021 graduation, the Class of 2021 will present their community project AND welcome the new Leadership Class of 2021!
“Leadership 21 has given me a deeper understanding of our community, the challenges we face as a community and those who are trying to make a difference in our community. Through my participation in the program, I have learned a great deal not only about our community, but about myself and what kind of leader I can be. I have met a lot of amazing people from various backgrounds that I may have otherwise never had the opportunity to meet. I have no doubt that the relationships that our class has built will be meaningful and lasting and that what we have learned through our participation in the program will help us all to be better leaders within the community.“
